What to learn how survey the bats in your local woods? Now is your chance on this bats and woodland one-day course. Successful participants will gain the skills to complete initial scoping surveys and secondary non-specialist surveys as outlined in British Standard BS 8596:2015: ‘Surveying for Bats in Trees and Woodland’ - Guide.

The course also includes an introduction to bat biology, woodland management and conservation, British bat species, correct use of endoscopes and a visit to a private semi-natural woodland.

Location: Horham Community Centre, Horham, Suffolk and Redlingfield Wood County Wildlife Site

Cost: £175 - light lunch, tea, coffee and cakes provided.
