CWA AND MAKING LOCAL WOODS WORK NATIONAL CONFERENCE 2017

We are pleased to share the details of the Making Local Woods Work (MLWW) and Community Woodland Association (CWA) National Conference taking place on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 October at the Westerwood Hotel, Cumbernauld.

We will be joined by a host of woodland social enterprises, representatives from the sector and specialists in forestry, timber-use, business, education, health and volunteering. With fantastic networking opportunities and site visits to local woodland groups and enterprises it will be a wonderful few days.

Booking

The draft conference schedule can be found here and will be updated as speakers and workshop hosts are confirmed.

If you would like to book a place, please visit www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cwa-making-local-woods-work-conference-2017-tickets-32651802420?aff=es2.

Accommodation

A limited number of rooms have been made available at the Westerwood and we would like to fit in as many delegates as possible. If you are able to share a room this will help us and greatly reduce your delegate fee!

Bursaries for MLWW groups

In order to see the greatest number of MLWW groups at this years’ conference we are happy to announce a number of travel bursaries to support groups with the costs of attendance. These are available only to MLWW groups in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. CWA will manage delegate bursaries for Scottish woodland community groups.

Details of our bursary programme have been sent directly to all groups. If you are an MLWW group and have not already received information about this please email woodlands@plunkett.co.uk to request an application form.
