Thanks to all who attended our Making Local Woods Pay event in late November at Hill Holt Wood. It was an inspiring day bringing together current MLWW participant groups with other woodland social enterprises, both established and emerging. Groups shared a lot in terms of ideas for income generation as well as learning the most appropriate sources of funding and funders for different activities. A particularly helpful and inspiring session came from MLWW friend Ben Crabb at APIS Solutions. Ben spoke about unlocking the potential of corporate social responsibility with a key takeaway point: if you don’t ask, you don’t get! We’re currently putting together a summary of the day complete with presentation slides and will share this once complete.
