TIMBER FESTIVAL'S NEW BLOG - SUPPORTED BY MLWW

Wild Rumpus has recently announced a new addition to the UK festival and woodlands scenes. Timber Festival is a collaborative 3-day festival hosted by Wild Rumpus and the National Forest to showcase the power of trees and woodlands. The festival will bring together writers, artists, poets, scientists and philosophers to explore the impact of forests. More information about the festival (along with how to book) can be found at the website. And MLWW is delighted to announce that Wild Rumpus are blogging their journey towards the event in July to share their vast experience in hosting a large-scale woodland arts event.

This is a fantastic opportunity for groups who are starting out as a venue or who have plans to put on their own festival. Over the coming months the blog will post fortnightly detailing aspects of event management including developing a project timeline, marketing plan, programme, looking at licences and environmental sustainability. We encourage groups to follow the progress of the event and take advantage of the knowledge available here, or at the Timber website here.

And, of course, to learn more about Wild Rumpus and their fabulous work then we’ve got a beautifully shot film of Directors Sarah and Rowan sharing their passion for arts and introducing the whirligig, the perfect woodland workspace!
