SUPPORT FOR EDEN ROSE COPPICE TRUST

We wanted to share the disappointing news that, for the third time in a month, the Eden Rose Coppice Trust have had their site broken into and vandalised. MLWW has visited Jo and Rob Brooks on site to see the valuable work the Trust is undertaking in relation to their environmental, social and health-based work. It is, therefore, particularly upsetting to hear of the difficulties they have been having with anti-social behaviour and the reckless destruction of both hard work and costly equipment. Jo, however, is undeterred and determined to get right back to work.

Eden Rose are now crowdfunding £16,000 to adequately secure their site, install security lights and cameras, rebuild the disabled person compostable toilet and replace equipment. To support their efforts please visit https://localgiving.org/appeal/secureoursite/. If you can help spread the word on social media then please do share or tweet. We hope Eden Rose achieve their target soon.

On another note we do often hear of MLWW groups having to deal with anti-social behaviour of this sort. If your group has also had to deal with these kinds of issues please do share your story on the Woodland Social EnterpriseNetwork page. It would be interesting to learn how other organisations have been dealing with this and any successful interventions.
